Following screenings in New York, Venice and Rome ‘My Name Is Swan’ returns to the UK with its first showing since its premiere at the Curzan Aldgate as part of the East End Film Festival.
A reading and screening at the Margate Now festival will take place on Sunday 29 September at 101 Social, 101 Northdown Rd, Margate, CT9 2QY
To mark the event the original soundtrack is available to stream on Soundcloud during September.
With the success of six lecture-workshops on contemporary poetry, Jan Noble has been invited to take up residency at the Sunbury Gallery in the spring. He will be giving an inaugural lecture at the gallery to mark National Poetry Day 3 October.
After launching his latest poetic monologue at the Stoke Newington Literary Festival at the beginning of summer Jan will be taking the new work to Milan reading at the Teatro Filodrammatici 24 October. A Dantesque investigation into the identification of the unknown victim of the Kings Cross fire, Body 115 is the third in a season of journey works after ‘My Name Is Swan’ and ‘Reynard’.
In November Jan Noble returns to New York to work with filmmaker Fred Barney Taylor a new film about Eadweard Muybridge. Taylor is known for his Great Writers/Great Cities series, productions for PBS and his biopic of Samuel R. Delany which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
